Task Force Policy Recommendations Focus

The backbone of B20 South Africa is its eight Task Forces. Each brings together global business leaders, experts, and stakeholders to tackle urgent issues shaping the future of the global economy.

Through months of dialogue and collaboration, these Task Forces have developed recommendations that reflect both global business priorities and Africa’s leadership moment. Their work connects advanced economies with emerging markets, ensuring the private sector’s voice drives inclusive and sustainable solutions.

The Task Forces’ recommendations focus areas are:

  • Finance & Infrastructure: Scaling sustainable infrastructure investment, unlocking long-term capital through blended finance, and strengthening global financial cooperation.
  • Trade & Investment: Rebuilding trust in global trade, creating a new Trade & Investment Deal for Africa, and building a climate-responsive global trade system.
  • Digital Transformation: Expanding inclusive connectivity, equipping citizens with digital skills, ensuring AI is human-centric, and investing in digital public infrastructure.
  • Integrity & Compliance: Leveraging technology to fight corruption, embedding integrity into climate and sustainability finance, and scaling collective action for transparent markets.
